Choose dried flowers for Valentines Day
At Valentine’s Day you don’t need to buy a fresh bouquet of roses which will be in the bin in a few days. Here are a few alternatives for a more sustainable choice this February. If you choose dried flowers for Valentines Day they might last you a whole year!
Shop Valentines DayDried flowers bunches
If you still want to give a bouquet why not make it a dried one? Roses don’t grow in the UK in February, and according to Heathrow airport, 93% are air freighted in. Dried flowers don’t have a shelf life, so with luck, a dry bouquet might still be around this time next year!
At daisyshopUK we have a selection of bunches that would make a beautiful long-lasting gift, and they don’t have to be expensive either!
In the above pic, top row L-R:
- Handmade Lavender sheaf made by us to order
- Ten stems of Woodroses which make a beautiful contemporary display
- Pink Rhodanthe daisies – very pretty and also available in white
Why not show how you feel by making a bouquet yourself, or give the flowers as a craft project? Second row L-R:
- Bundle offer of four dried flowers bunches for lovers of the colour pink at a discounted rate with some twine thrown in
- A selection of bunches from a recent delivery if you’d rather choose your own
- Bundle offer of four UK grown dried flower bunches at a discounted rate with some twine thrown in
