Buy dried foliage bunches of eucalyptus, seconds quality*. Each bunch consists of 3 or more stems, just under 60cm long. This is a bunch of real Euclayptus pulverulenta, not artificial. This type of eucalyptus is known as "Baby blue" or silver mountain gum. Each rounded glossy leaf is approx 1 to 3 cm across. This preserved foliage is made by treating the fresh stems and leaves with a chemical preservative such as glycernine containing a colourant. The dried eucalyptus leaves are moss green beneath their natural whitish coating, to make a great backgound for brightly coloured dried flowers.
This dried foliage may not be colourfast in damp conditions. This greenery is sold for decor not home fragrance.
*Seconds quality - these bunches have discoloured slightly (see last pic) to a less attractive green in places and the preservation has made them more susceptible to humid conditions.
A note about coloured and preserved items: this is a chemical process and may leave a residual chemical smell which some people find unappealing. Most people are not aware of a smell and we find that any remaining scent often disperses after a few days out of the packaging. If you think you might be sensitive to the fragrance of these items, we recommend sticking to our wide range of natural dried flowers and natural grasses.
